On March 23, 2001 Rose Moniz, a 41-year-old female from New Bedford, Massachusetts, was found by her father murdered inside her home on 3448 Acushnet Ave. She had been bludgeoned to death.

Frances Cunha, the mother of Rose Moniz, quoted a man known to Moniz. She said:

“He said he would kill her. He told her, ‘It may take a week, it may take a month, it may
take a year, but mark my words, I will kill you.” “She was a good girl…..and someone beat
her to a pulp. My beautiful daughter.”

But despite the threats of an unknown man, Rose’s case remains unsolved.

12/28/12 QUEENS, NYC — NYPD Searching For Unidentified Woman Accused Of Killing Man By Pushing Him Onto The Subway Tracks

Scene outside NYC subway station where man was pushed to his death onto tracks in front of oncoming train on night of Dec. 27, 2012, according to police, in the city's second such incident this month.

NYPD are searching for the unidentified woman who they said fled a train station immediately after pushing an unsuspecting man to his death at a Subway Train Station in New York City.

The man, who has not been identified, was standing on the elevated platform of a 7 train in Queens Boulevard in the Sunnyside neighborhood at approximately 8pm last night (12/27/12) when an unidentified woman shoved him onto the tracks.

According to witnesses, the woman was supposedly following the man while mumbling to herself and although her mumbling drew attention, it appears the victim had not noticed he was being followed. According to police, the woman was sitting on a bench and when the train pulled in, she got up and shoved the man down. The man had apparently been standing with his back to her and the woman pushed him at the last possible second, giving the man no time to defend or save himself.

The victim was hit by the first car of an 11-car northbound train and got stuck under the wheels of the second. He was pronounced dead at the scene and according to NYPD, he had sustained ‘terrible injuries that make providing a description difficult at this time.’

I heard the train screech as it was stopping and then heard this loud scream,‘ Linda Santini-Tripodis, who was under the 40th Street station at the time, told The Sunnyside Post. ‘I’m never going to forget that scream for as long as I live.’

Crime scene: The shocking incident occurred at a station in Queens, pictured, and is the second horrific case this month

This isn’t December’s first NYC Subway murder. Earlier this month, a very similar attack happened which involved a man being pushed his death on the subway tracks in NYC.

On December 3, 2012, 58-year-old Ki-Suck Han was pushed to his death in Time Square by Naeem Davis, a thirty year old homeless man who was also described by witnesses as ‘mumbling to himself’ shortly before pushing Han in front of a train. Davis was soon arrested after being identified on surveillance tape. He has been charged with first degree murder.

Kisuck Han Funeral

A photograph of Han on the tracks a split second before he was killed was published on the front of the New York Post the following day, which caused outrage and debate over whether the photographer, who had also been waiting for a train, should have tried to help him and whether the newspaper should have run the image. Apparently no one else tried to help up Han, either.

Police viewed footage from a 24-hour surveillance camera outside a pizza restaurant located across from the station and were able to obtain clear images of the suspect, according to The New York Times.

‘She jumps from the stairs and she just runs,’ said Oasis Restaurant owner, Giovanni Briones.

Briones went on to say that he did not recognize the woman but that a restaurant regular was on the train and felt a bump as it ran over the man.

Police have very little to go on and are hoping the public will help in identifying the suspect who is described as being 5’5” tall, heavy-set Hispanic female, in her twenties wearing a blue, white and gray jacket and Nike sneakers with gray on top and red on the bottom.

Laralee Spear, 15

Date Found: 04/25/94 (according to Deland County Police website. Although some reports say 04/26/94)

Location Found: Deerfoot Road, Deland, Florida

Laralee Spear was a fifteen year old freshman who attended Deland High School. She was described as an A-student who had many friends and was part of the cheerleading squad. Laralee enjoyed riding her bike, sing in her church choir, and playing her violin. She loved animals, especially horses and hoped to become a pediatrician. Sadly she would never have a chance to fulfill her career dream.

On the morning of April 25, 1994, Laralee had woken up early to get ready and go to school. School rang out at 3:15pm and she took the bus to get home. The bus stopped on South Spring Garden Avenue, which was only a few blocks from Laralee’s home. The teen had her own route which included walking by Deerfoot Road. She promptly disappeared somewhere between the bus-stop and her home and it didn’t take Barbara Spear, Laralee’s mother, long to call Deland Police Department and report her daughter missing. Mothers Instinct told her something was not right. She knew her daughter and knew she would never run away.

Ninety minutes after calling police, her body was spotted by a police helicopter in a secluded area behind an abandoned house on Deerfoot Road. She had been murdered by multiple gunshots.

It wasn’t the first time this vacant house was a crime-scene. About one year prior, the house had been burned down and many believe the unknown killer was familiar with the area. Laralee’s walking route was right by Deerfoot Road and it’s possible she was picked at random. It’s also possible that the killer knew her or seen the teen and knew her walking route.

The area has had a history of complaints. Cops have been called to this house before. Teenagers often use the place for drug parties, neighbors say. There’s an old railroad trestle nearby.

Several witnesses from the neighborhood informed cops that they saw a black low-rider truck speeding away from the area at about the time the girl disappeared.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at (888) 277-TIPS.

Intricately cut 4-by-4 inch cubes of human flesh have been discovered in a Michigan drain pipe launching fears of a serial killer on the loose just months after similar pieces of a tattooed woman were found.

Police in Suburban Detroit tell ABC that the two cubes of ‘skin and fat and little bit of muscle tissue’ were found in a sewer pipe by a sanitation crew in Warren on Thursday.

Police say they appear to have been dumped only recently though could be related to the 10 similarly-cut pieces bearing tattoos that were found about five miles away last August.

A shocking image has been released of the moment a suspected hit man followed closely behind his victim on a busy Manhattan street and pulled a gun out of his pocket, right before he shot him in the head at close range.

NYPD have released CCTV footage which shows Brandon Lincoln Woodard, 31, from Los Angeles, walking and texting on his phone as his killer gets out of his getaway car and walks almost beside him.

The killer exited the passenger side door of his light grey Lincoln Sedan on 58th Street and casually popped the hood of his black sweatshirt before taking the semi-automatic pistol out of his pocket.

He followed his victim for around ten minutes before killing him.

Desi Woods is wanted for homicide.

On September 26, 2010 police discovered the body of 68-year-old Irene Camacho, a former deli cashier/clerk at Barstow Stater Bros, where she was employed for over 30 years. She had been strangled to death at her own home on Piute Street in Barstow, CA.

The suspect would soon be identified as Desi Woods, then 36, the son of the murdered woman. He had strangled Camacho to death after a heated argument between the two erupted. After the murder he fled.

Camacho’s fiance had gone over her home the following morning because he was concerned that she wasn’t answering his phone calls. That’s when he discovered her body and contacted police.

The District Attorney’s office had charged Woods with his mother’s murder and a warrant was issued for his arrest but despite numerous attempts to locate him, he remains on the run.

Police are also working with U.S. marshals to locate Woods and have followed many tips that lead to dead ends. They’re hoping someone comes forward with valuable information.

“It’s bizarre,” said Barstow Police Detective Daniel Arthur. “With his lifestyle … I really thought he would have some kind of run in with law enforcement by now, but he hasn’t. So it’s frustrating.”

Their have been sightings, many with mistaken identity and most are unconfirmed including witnesses claiming to have seen Wood’s driving a green 1970’s pick-up truck.

Woods, who was also residing in Barstow, was diagnosed as a paranoid Schizophrenic. Police describe him as a violent drunk and drug user who uses heroin and methamphetamine regularly.

America’s Most Wanted aired this case on October 12, 2012, two years after a warrant had been sent out for his capture.

“The victim was a staple in the town she grew up in. She knew everyone in town. And it was an extremely unfortunate circumstance for Irene because the suspect is one of her sons.” said Jim Gagliano, producer of AMW.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Desi Woods you’re urged to please contact: Barstow Police Department (760) 256-2211
